During the application process for the wider works at Langley Vale, associated with the First World War Centenary Woodland for England, the visitor shelter formed part of the outline elements for which details were to be reserved.  Prior to planning committee, on 25 July 2019, the visitor shelter was withdrawn from application 17/01450/FUL, at the request of officers at Espom and Ewell Borough Council.

A full planning application has now been submitted to Epsom and Ewell Borough Council. The location plan is below and visualisation is shown above. 

The relevant surveys in respect of trees, landscape and visual impact, archaeology, and ecology have been updated and form part of the submission, alongside a Supplementary Environmental Statement.  The Woodland Trust have confirmed that the construction traffic routes will be as previously agreed (i.e the Derby Route).
